I appreciated the hotel, it was fairly clean with helpful staff at the night shift.

The room was kept clean and available with an extra bed for our daughter. The staff was polite, provided an easy check-in and an easy check-out. The hotel was located very marvellous for us, walking distance to a metro station. Pubs and a stadium were located walking distance to the venue😀

Good standard and lovely modern place, we did not want to leave there.
The room was good sized, and we greatly enjoyed its central location.

The breakfast is good, it is varied has variety of breads ready to toast and variety of sweets, also croissants and muffins, cold cuts and for those who want bacon, eggs, etc. The beds are not of the best quality but with the long days you rest well.
hotel is very noisy especially in the mornings, maids are very noisy in the hallways at very early hours. During the whole stay we were woken up with doors knocking, trying to get into the room to clean so I recommend leaving the sign on the door the night before not to disturb. It also happened that 7 times an alarm was activated at approximately 8 AM in the upstairs hallway which was very unpleasant because we did not know if we had to leave the rooms or it was accidental. The breakfast room is very noisy and staff is not aware of the lack of dishes so we have to ask them when something is missing.

location is perfect, it is right in the centre of the old town of Barcelona. It is right on the Ramblas near the Sea and Gothic quarter. It has the metro right next to it to go anywhere in the city and also close to Plaza Catalunya where you take the buses to the airports. There is a lot of atmosphere at night (for eating and drinking). It's right for a getaway in Barcelona. hotel IDEAL does not have the luxury to stay at night and do sightseeing during the day. It is not a hotel to stay all day, just a bed and breakfast. Well
As it is a renovated building, I suppose that depending on which room you are placed in, there will be more noise from water pipes and some windows facing the patio. You must choose the room well depending on what idea you come to Barcelona.

A typical Spanish city hotel which combines comfort with ease of location - would stay there again

Location! The crowd, the lively city, streets, and of course the great architechtures around the city.
I've got what I wanted for the price! (It would even better if everyone room's door shut with no loud noise at midnight!)

The reception staff were very helpful especially in light of the fact we had to extend our stay due to the shutdown of european airports. Breakfast was very good. Excellent location for sightseeing.
Room looked out on a concrete wall! So necessary to keep blind/curtains closed not a problem in April but possibly when it gets much hotter!

It was fair. We got a really lousy room for the first night (no windows, no airconditioning system for cooling, very suffocating) but they changed our room at the second night for a nice room (8th floor with porch to the Ramblas). also a very good breakfast was delivered.
as I said we got a really lousy room for the first night (no windows, no airconditioning system for cooling, very suffocating).

The guest room was bright and decent size on lower floors. The location was absolutely perfect, close enough to Las Ramblas, the Port area, the main squares, the Cathedral, Hop-on Hop-Off bus terminus, Gothic Quarter, fantastic Market all on one's doorstep, and centre of Barcelona and close to Gothic Quarter Centre we wanted to see. It also was on Las Rambla.

This hotel is right on La Rambla in an excellent position for all the nearby attractions such as the Gotic area. Over street rooms lets you watch all the action below but if noise worries you ask for a rear room, the noise lasts all night. The included breakfast is basic but adequate, would recommend hotel.
Wifi is patchy through the hotel, I could not get reception in our room but I could in the passageway outside the room. Plastic tumblers supplied in the room but don't throw them away, they don't get replaced.

I liked the fact it was in the heart of the Ramblas ie location
The attitude of the staff - very arogant. The rooms that we had paid for were not at all as described by Booked.net. Feel this needs to be looked into by hotel and Booked.net. No iron or ironng board in the hotel with 92 rooms!
